I love how that sounds. I really was born at what is today called Mission Hospital. The hospital sits on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The moon was 92% waxing. It’s entirely possible that one of my first memories is of a blurry full moon, triggering the beginning of my fascination with the lunar body.
The full moon has been my constant companion through good and bad times. I’m energized by her light. I’m also more aware of the peculiar happenings come with each cycle.
On Friday July 31, 2015, we will have our last Blue moon until January 31, 2018.
Yf they say the mone is blewe
We must beleve that it is true
Rede me and be nott wrothe, for I say no thynge but trothe: by Roy, William, fl. 1527-1531; Barlowe, Jerome, fl. 1527, A Lollard, 1450; Arber, Edward, 1836-1912
The word ‘belewe’ had a double meaning in Old English. It could have meant either the color blue, or ‘to betray.’
I pause to consider what events may be hidden in the dark shadows cast by the Blue Moon’s bright white light.
In Tarot, when the Moon makes her presence know, she cautions you to look deeper into the shadows to find the truth.
