In the February portion of the Year Ahead reading that I had done, I have been advised to take a more useful approach to the chaos that is my life. Instead of looking at the practicality or deciphering the logistics of how to make everything work, I am to look at the emotional aspects and to let go of the expectations that don't fulfill my emotional needs. That's cool.

- When I look at these cards, I see that the person in the Two of Pentacles is observing the lemniscate not working it. He isn’t juggling, but the symbolism of paying attention to what is “up in the air” isn’t lost on me as I look at the Four of Cups.

One cup is up in the air, balancing on top of the other three. This most likely is where I’ll find the emotional satisfaction that Marcus talks about in the reading, by balancing my desires with the amount of emotional satisfaction that the activity will bring.

Also, the person in the Nine of Wands seems to be observing the other cards to see what decisions will be made. He is guarding the way forward from detractors who seek to stop you from achieving your goals. Could he be my inner guide?
I’ve been working with the Inner Guide Meditation using the workbook cast for me by astrologer Lyn Birkbek. The Guide is supposed to help in working with Archetypal energies and to prevent the ego from interfering with the process. Is this the work I’m supposed to do this month? It’s too early to tell.

Today, I pulled three cards for my Weekly Reading The 9 of cups, the Chariot and the Princess of Swords. The Chariot has been foremost in my mind this past week.

I had a dream a couple of nights ago where a Flying Horse landed on a stump in the middle of a circle of stumps. My first thought was that this was one of the horses from the Oracle of Astara Chariot card. I was visited by this archetype and photoshopped and image the depicts what I saw in the dream. Or was it a dream?
The Chariot represents slow, balanced movement. Always forward. It has been linked with the astrological sign of Cancer, so intuition and emotion play a role in this movement. But I digress.
What I see here is emotional satisfaction will come from a steady pace, but that I must learn and practice the appropriate techniques in order to charge forward. I’m not there yet. This is reading is the encouragement that I need to continue the work I've started.
