Many of the stories I heard as a child involved some kind of garden, the Garden of Eden, Mr. MacGregor’s Garden that Peter Rabbit wandered into, Juliet’s garden where Romeo made his famous speech and more recently the Secret Garden.
These gardens acted as gateways to love, adventure or adversity, depending on the choices made by whoever crossed the threshold to the other side.
After reading the stories, I found most of the time, the travelers failed to heed the precautionary voices of their companions. If only they had been able to consult the Tarot to find other, less traumatic, paths.
The cards have the ability to divine the cause for the current state of affairs and then plot course corrections for any obstacles that may arise in the path.
That, to me is the beauty of Tarot: when it becomes the inspirational Key that unlocks the Gateway to that mystical Home many seek and have yet to find.
